How long have you worked in hospitality?
I completed a degree in International Hospitality Business Management with Conference and Events (find me a longer degree title!) and have worked in hospitality ever since. So that’s 20 years, wow I don’t feel old enough to be saying that!
What does your role as Head of Revenue involve?
In essence, maximising the amount of money we generate selling our conference, bedroom and catering facilities.
In hospitality we sell perishable products so it is important to anticipate consumer behaviour and position ourselves with the best pricing strategy to maximise our revenue potential.
What does your typical day involve?
Spreadsheets, data, reports and more spreadsheets. Reviewing data such as occupancy, pace, competitor activity and market trends to make informed decisions.

What are your hopes for the department?
Growth and continual improvement. It’s great working for a company who’s mission is ‘To create a place where people love to be’. By looking for ways we can grow our business and continually improve what we offer our guests we can to create a place where people love to be again and again.
Give us an interesting fact about yourself.
I lived in a small town in the Canadian Rockies called Jasper for a year and got chased off the golf course by a grizzly bear! Such a beautiful part of the world I can’t wait to go back one day.

What makes Imago a place where you love to be?
Sounds clichéd but the team that I work with makes Imago a place where I love to be. I’ve worked with some of my colleagues for over 10 years and we have a shared passion for hospitality and our guests.
