Target:
Commit to gift £100,000 to our charity partner, Rainbows, over 5 years
We are creating a place where people love to be. That means our guests, our customers, our teams, but also our local community. We want to provide opportunities for the community to find careers, support students whilst they study, provide apprenticeships for young people to learn important skills, and partner with local organisations to give opportunities to people who may need additional support to gain skills and find great careers.
Rainbows, our chosen Charity
Our team is incredibly proud to have unanimously chosen Rainbows as our partner charity.
Rainbows, a remarkable Leicestershire organisation, provides essential support for children and young people with life-limiting illnesses, as well as for their families. From palliative care and end-of-life support to bereavement services, Rainbows brings compassion and comfort to families during their most challenging times. By achieving our fundraising target, we hope to bring real support to the children, young people, and families who rely on Rainbows’ care and compassion.
Trussell Trust
We’re committed to supporting our community, which is why we’re proud to back our local Loughborough Trussell Trust food bank by donating essential food and gifts for families in need, especially during key celebrations. We also bring this spirit of giving into our nursery, where children learn about compassion and community through activities like food drives and gift donations. It’s a small way to help foster empathy and social responsibility in the next generation.
Homefield & Sense College
Through our partnership with Homefield College, we provide young people with valuable, supported internships designed to transition seamlessly into permanent employment wherever possible.
With only a 5.9% chance of securing paid work after education, young people with special educational needs need real-world experience to improve their job prospects. That’s why we’ve partnered with two local specialist colleges to support young adults (16-25) with complex needs in gaining skills for independence and employment. Through supported internships, short-term work experience, and taster days in hospitality, we offer students hands-on opportunities to explore careers. Each student is supported by a dedicated job coach provided by the college, helping them build confidence and overcome barriers to employment. Our aim is to keep expanding these placements and open doors for even more young people.
