The 5% Club
The 5% Club is a network of employers committed to offering earn-and-learn opportunities to help develop their workforce.
By joining in 2023, Imago pledged that 5% of our team would be in earn-and-learn roles, such as apprenticeships and formal training schemes, within five years. In 2023, we had 2% of our team in these positions, and by November 2024, that figure has grown to 5.8%. This initiative reflects our commitment to investing in our team’s development, providing them with the skills and experience they need to thrive within the company and beyond. By supporting these opportunities, we aim to create a strong pipeline of talent that helps our team grow while also strengthening the business.
Horizon
Horizon is our in-house management development programme, designed to support our managers in their day-to-day roles. It’s all about giving them the practical skills and tools they need to manage their teams effectively and navigate the challenges they face every day. Whether it’s improving communication, decision-making, or problem-solving, the programme helps our managers grow in their roles and be more confident in supporting their teams. By investing in their development, we’re ensuring that they have what they need to lead, motivate, and help their teams perform at their best. This approach helps our managers feel more equipped and empowered, driving both personal and team success.
Movers and shakers
We’re passionate about growing talent from within. We believe in empowering our team members and giving them the support they need to reach their full potential.
Take Sean, for example. He started with us as a Conference Technician, then quickly moved into a Sales Coordinator role. From there, he took on team management and event responsibilities and is now excelling in a Business Development role. Within his first year, Sean was even shortlisted for National Salesperson of the Year! His dedication and versatility also saw him supporting our Nursery during the pandemic to help key workers.
Then there’s Chloe, who began her journey with us as a child practitioner at the nursery. Today, Chloe is a Senior SENCO leader, playing a key role in the day-to-day running of the nursery. Her growth within the organisation shows just how much we value developing our people and giving them the opportunity to grow their careers with us. We’re proud to watch our team thrive and succeed as they build their careers from the ground up.
